Indian food

You actively avoid vegetarian food,

Specifically South Indian, I have never seen you eat idli dosa

But you chomp down on aloo parathas,

I sigh, and think, “North Indian ladka”

You deter away from emotions, hinder

Our talks are mostly you making me laugh, *coughs*

Conversation jumping on unsteady ground, leading to her, and then you

You don’t matter much, then why did your decision make me blue?

Soon you go back to being goofy, making me roll my eyes

Albeit, with a smile (I guess I am a fool)

You act nonchalant, but

your aloofness reeks of a man who is lost,

Looking for you would come at a very high cost

You’re not a big fan of change so you stick to what you know,

Comfort to you comes from simple, and the old

I shouldn’t have been surprised, you gave me so many clues

That you liked dal chawal

More than I (pav bhaji) liked you
